Remote contract signing makes it possible to close a deal without a personal meeting and without sending paper documents. Legally there are several levels: a simple electronic signature, which can even be an email confirmation, an advanced signature tied to a verified identity, and a qualified electronic signature, which has the strongest legal standing and is required for certain acts. For ordinary business contracts between traders, a lower level is generally sufficient, but what matters is provability – who signed what and when. Shortening this step has a direct impact on the deal, because the time between agreement and signature is the phase in which a competitor most often appears or the decision gets postponed. It is worth stating the method used directly in the terms and conditions.
