AI for Working with PDFs makes it possible to ask questions about the content of long documents, get a summary, find a specific provision or compare multiple versions. For companies, this is practical for calls for proposals and guidelines, technical standards, contracts, annual reports and manuals. Accuracy, however, has limits worth knowing: scanned documents without a text layer must first be recognised, and the error rate is high with poor quality; tables and multi-column layouts are often interpreted incorrectly; and with very long files the model omits part of the content. For important data – amounts, deadlines, paragraph numbers – it is therefore mandatory to verify them directly in the document, ideally by having the page cited.
