A table is the most unambiguous format for machines, because every piece of data has an assigned row and column, so the relationship between a value and its meaning is explicit and does not need to be inferred from a sentence. This is why passages containing tables often appear in comparison answers. Use one whenever you describe parameters, prices, limits, deadlines or differences between options, text of the type the first option costs this much and the second costs that much is harder to process, even for a person. It is essential that the table be an actual table in the page's code, have a labelled header, and be readable on mobile. The worst option is a table inserted as an image: it does not exist for machines, it is unreadable for the user, and it does not update when the data changes.
