The Fund for the Support of Sport is a public-law institution that provides contributions for projects in the field of sport. It supports the construction, reconstruction and modernisation of sports infrastructure, projects focused on physical activity for children and young people, sporting events and the development of sports organisations. Applicants tend to be municipalities, towns, self-governing regions, schools and sports clubs, and infrastructure calls require a settled property-law relationship to the land and, as a rule, a valid permit as well. Co-financing at a set proportion is a condition, along with proper settlement after the project ends, with documented evidence of use. In addition to technical readiness, the evaluation also assesses the scope of the facility's future use and its accessibility to the public, not just to a single club. Calls are issued several times a year and their schedule is published in advance on the fund's website.
