Business environment reforms are measures aimed at improving business conditions without directly funding companies. These include reducing the administrative burden and eliminating duplicate obligations, speeding up permitting procedures, changes to insolvency law enabling insolvency to be addressed earlier and giving entrepreneurs a second chance, improving the enforceability of the law, and developing electronic state services. For companies, these changes often have a greater impact than individual grant calls, because they affect everyone regardless of whether they applied for support. It is worth monitoring them especially through public consultation procedures and the positions of business associations, which flag upcoming changes before they become binding. Some of the measures have measurable targets, for example reducing the number of obligations or shortening deadlines, whose fulfilment is reported. Progress is published in evaluation reports.
