A monitoring report is a document by which the recipient regularly informs the provider about the state of project implementation, the progress of activities, the fulfilment of measurable indicators, and compliance with the terms of the contract for the provision of the non-repayable financial contribution. It is submitted electronically through the ITMS21 system. We distinguish interim monitoring reports during project implementation, a final monitoring report after activities are completed, and follow-up monitoring reports submitted annually during the sustainability period. The reports include data on ESF+ project participants, information on publicity, and any changes to the project. Failure to submit a monitoring report within the set deadline is considered a breach of contractual obligations and can lead to the suspension of payments. Thorough and timely monitoring also helps the recipient identify, in good time, the risks of failing to meet indicators and to request a project change.
