The order process is the sequence of steps from the cart to order confirmation. It determines how many filled carts end up as orders, and most of the loss has a fixable cause. The basic rules are simple. Allow purchase without registration and offer registration only after completion. Show the delivery cost and available payment methods as early as possible, ideally already in the cart, not only in the last step. Show the progress of the steps so the customer knows how much is left. Ask only for the data you need for delivery and invoicing. Remove exit elements such as full navigation and banners. And after submission, clearly state what will happen next and by when. Measure drop-off at each individual step and fix the worst one.
