Payment methods by country

Payment methods differ between markets more than might be expected, and their mix directly determines completed orders. In some places payment cards dominate, elsewhere it is instant bank transfers, digital wallets, deferred payments, or cash on delivery, which is marginal in some countries and still common in others. A customer who cannot find a method they consider safe will not complete the order, and even a lower price will not overcome that distrust. Before entering a market, therefore find out which methods local sellers in the same category use, and include at least the two most widespread. It is equally important to state the available methods already at the product page and in the cart, not only at the final step. Expect fees that vary significantly between methods.
