Digitalisation of Public Administration is a component focused on modernising the state's information systems, developing electronic services for citizens and businesses, making better use of data between authorities, and cyber security. It also includes the principle that an authority should obtain data the state already holds by itself, rather than repeatedly requesting it from the applicant. For the business environment it has a twofold significance. Indirectly, it shows up as simplified administration, the electronisation of filings and better access to registers. Directly, it represents a large market of public contracts for the development, integration and operation of systems, in which smaller technology firms also take part as subcontractors. It is therefore worth monitoring the procurement gazette as well as the planned investment intentions of individual ministries. Furthermore, the changes are reflected in obligations for businesses, for example in electronic delivery and filing.
