Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is an exchange programme in which a new or aspiring entrepreneur spends a period at the business of an experienced entrepreneur in another country. It is not about study, but about working directly in the operation, gaining experience, contacts and a view of a different market. The participant receives a financial contribution towards stay-related costs, while the host entrepreneur gains help, a fresh perspective, and a possible business contact in the guest's home country. The programme is open not only to complete beginners but also to entrepreneurs who have been operating for several years. Applications run on a rolling basis through contact organisations, which help find a suitable partner. For Slovak companies considering expansion, it is a cheap way to get to know a target market from the inside. The length of the stay is limited, and neither the host nor the guest pays a fee for the matchmaking.
