AI literacy is a sufficient level of employee knowledge to be able to use artificial intelligence meaningfully and safely. European regulation expects organisations to ensure such readiness, to a reasonable extent, among people who work with AI systems. It is not a technical machine-learning course. Its content should cover understanding how tools work and where they go wrong, the risk of incorrect and fabricated outputs, protecting personal and company data when entering it into tools, bias in results, accountability for decisions, and the company's internal rules. The scope differs by role – an HR professional using AI in recruitment needs something different from a marketer. Document the training with an attendance sheet, content and date, otherwise you will not be able to prove it in an audit. Check the exact scope of the obligation in the current wording of the regulation.
