An AI Image Generator creates a visual from a text prompt, and companies most often use it for illustrations for articles, material for social media, concepts before a photoshoot, and simple graphics where stock photography would be needlessly expensive. Two things determine its usability in a company. The first is consistency – randomly generated visuals look disorganised, so it is worth fixing the style, colour scheme and format in a reusable prompt. The second is the legal status of the output: providers' terms differ on whether you may use the image commercially, and copyright protection of a purely generated work is disputed. For product photography and depicting real people or spaces, a generated image remains unsuitable, since it misleads the customer.
