Call for proposals

A call for proposals is the fundamental document by which a managing authority or intermediate body announces the opportunity to apply for a non-repayable financial contribution. The call defines the eligible applicants, eligible activities and expenditure, the size of the allocation, the aid intensity, the closing date, and the evaluation criteria. We distinguish closed calls with a fixed closing date and open calls that close on a rolling basis once the allocation is exhausted – for these, speed of submission is decisive. The call includes annexes such as the applicant's guide, the list of mandatory attachments, and the model NFP contract. Before preparing a project, it is essential to study the call in detail, because failing to meet even a single condition for granting the contribution leads to the application being excluded from the evaluation process.
