Contact page

The contact page is one of the most visited pages on company websites, because it attracts people with the strongest intent. Despite this, it is often dismissed with a form and a single email address. A useful contact page offers several channels depending on preference – phone, email, a form, or possibly chat – states when the company is available and by when it responds, and, for a physical premises, adds an address, map, parking and opening hours. For larger companies, it helps to list specific people or departments instead of a general address, so that enquiries do not get lost. The form should ask for the minimum data and, after submission, show a confirmation stating what will happen next and by when. A photo of the people or the premises increases trust. It is worth tracking how many enquiries actually come from it, because this is where the effect of any change shows up fastest.
