AI and GDPR

"AI and the GDPR" describes the intersection between the use of artificial intelligence and European data protection regulations (GDPR)—addressing, for example, the lawfulness of processing personal data when training models, the data subject’s right to an explanation of an automated decision, or the right to have their data erased from a database. Companies must deploy AI tools in such a way that their use does not violate the fundamental principles of the GDPR, such as data minimization or the purpose limitation of data processing.
