Implementing entity of the Recovery and Resilience Plan

The implementing entity of the Recovery and Resilience Plan is a ministry or other central state administration body responsible for delivering specific investments and reforms under an assigned component of the Slovak Republic's Recovery and Resilience Plan. The implementing entity issues calls, concludes contracts with beneficiaries, monitors project implementation, and is responsible for meeting the milestones and targets that Slovakia reports to the European Commission. Key implementing entities include the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic for building renovation and decarbonisation, the Ministry of Education for education, the Ministry of Health for hospitals, and the Ministry of Transport for sustainable mobility. Implementing entities may delegate part of their tasks to intermediaries, for example the Slovak Environment Agency for the Obnov dom programme. The entire implementation is coordinated by the National Implementation and Coordination Authority (NIKA) at the Government Office of the Slovak Republic.
