VAIA is the Research and Innovation Authority operating under the Government Office of the Slovak Republic, which coordinates support for research, development and innovation and oversees part of the schemes financed from the Recovery and Resilience Plan. For companies and research organisations, it is a source of information on calls focused on cooperation between businesses and research institutions, on support for innovative solutions and on the development of research capacities. It also deals with systemic measures such as the evaluation of research quality and the design of support instruments. When preparing a research and development project, it is worth monitoring its calls in parallel with EU fund calls, since the conditions and the level of support may differ and some schemes are more accessible to smaller companies.
