The Partnership Agreement is a strategic document concluded between the Slovak Republic and the European Commission, which sets out the strategy, priorities, and conditions for using the EU's cohesion policy funds in the 2021–2027 programming period. It defines the allocation of almost EUR 13 billion across the individual funds – the ERDF, ESF+, the Cohesion Fund, and the Just Transition Fund – and lays down the policy objectives Slovakia will focus on, ranging from innovation through the green transition to social inclusion. The Partnership Agreement takes precedence over the Slovakia Programme, which breaks its objectives down into specific priorities and measures. The document was drawn up in cooperation with socio-economic partners, local authorities, and the third sector, in line with the partnership principle. For applicants it matters as the framework from which all calls and supported areas derive.
