Global Europe is the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument, which finances European Union activities outside its territory – development cooperation, support for neighbouring countries, humanitarian and stabilisation assistance, and cooperation with partners around the world. Two paths are open to Slovak entities. Non-governmental organisations and development agencies apply for grants for projects in partner countries. Companies get involved as suppliers of goods, works and services in public procurement financed from this instrument, which is published centrally. It is a market of significant volume that Slovak businesses barely make use of. A common condition is experience in delivering similar contracts and the ability to operate in the given region.
