AI in Public Administration

AI in Public Administration is applied mainly in processing submissions and documents. Practical uses are sorting and routing submissions to the correct department, summarising extensive files and meeting materials, transcribing and taking minutes of public sessions, converting official texts into language understandable to citizens, multilingual versions, and supporting content accessibility. Answering repeated questions takes the load off the registry office, provided it is clearly marked as an automated response. The public sector, however, faces stricter requirements than businesses: decisions on rights and obligations cannot be left to a system, transparency, human oversight and documentation of the solution used are required, and it is also sensitive where citizens' data is processed. Start, therefore, with tasks that have no impact on the decision.
