Logistics and customs

Logistics for selling abroad is more demanding than on the domestic market, and underestimating it erodes margin. Within the European Union, customs formalities fall away, but differences remain in shipping prices, delivery times, and which carrier has customers' trust in a given market. Outside the Union, customs clearance, duty and import tax are added, and someone has to pay them – if this is not clearly stated, the customer pays them on receipt and refuses the shipment. Who bears the costs and risks is therefore determined in advance, through agreed delivery terms. Resolve returns specifically: the journey back from abroad is expensive, and without a local collection point it is not worthwhile for some categories. Communicate delivery times realistically; disappointment shows up in reviews.
