Links from sponsorships and events

Links from sponsorships and events arise when a company is listed among the partners of a conference, sports club, festival, or competition. This is a legitimate and natural source that also brings visibility with a specific audience and local recognition. An important rule is labelling: a link obtained in exchange for a monetary or in-kind contribution should be marked as sponsored, which keeps the company from being judged as having an artificial link. This labelling does not reduce the value of the sponsorship, since its purpose is not just the link. When choosing events, it is worth favouring those related to the industry or the region of operation, and checking whether the organiser actually publishes the partners and whether the page remains accessible even after the event ends.
