AI governance is a set of corporate policies, internal processes, and control mechanisms through which an organization manages the development, deployment, and associated risks of using artificial intelligence. It ensures compliance with applicable regulations (such as the AI Act) as well as the company’s internal ethical standards, and typically includes a clear assignment of responsibility for individual AI systems across the organization.
