SIEA is the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency, which oversees support in the areas of energy, savings and innovation. It's of interest to companies and households for three reasons. It implements national projects with direct support, such as voucher schemes for renewable energy sources for households and advisory programmes for entrepreneurs. It provides free energy advice and methodological support, which is a practical entry point for smaller companies ahead of a larger investment. And it acts as an intermediate body for part of the calls financed from European Union funds, meaning it announces and administers some calls directly. Current programmes and conditions change, so verify them on its website before preparing a project. With voucher schemes, expect a limited allocation and a round-based system, where the speed of submitting the application also matters.
