Current Calls for Proposals are open opportunities to submit an application for support. There is no single central list covering everything – calls are published by the managing authorities of individual programmes, ministries, agencies, self-governing regions, foundations and European institutions, each on its own website. More practical than searching for open calls is following the schedule of planned calls, which the authorities publish in advance: it gives several months to prepare documentation, permits and co-financing, whereas reacting to a call that has already been published often simply means you will not make it in time. For every call, first check three things – whether you are an eligible applicant, whether your place of implementation is in the supported territory, and whether you have not started incurring expenditure before the eligible period. Only after that does it make sense to read the rest.
