eTwinning is a platform for online collaboration between schools across Europe, on which teachers find partner schools and carry out joint projects with pupils without needing funding or travel. For a school, it is the simplest entry point into international cooperation and, at the same time, a natural first step before larger mobility and partnership projects, which already involve a budget, trips and a formal application. The benefit is twofold: pupils work on a shared topic with peers from other countries, which improves both language and digital skills, and the teacher gains contacts and experience that pay off when preparing a larger project. Participation and completed projects can also be used as evidence of experience in later applications.
