Grants for Employing Disadvantaged Jobseekers

The employment of disadvantaged persons is supported by several instruments, which include contributions for creating and maintaining a job for people with disabilities, the long-term unemployed, graduates and other groups defined by regulations. Related to this is the obligation of employers above a certain number of staff to employ a set proportion of people with disabilities, or to meet this obligation by an alternative method, for example by placing an order with a sheltered workshop or by paying a levy. Contributions are provided on the basis of an agreement concluded before the employee starts, and are tied to a commitment to keep the position for a set period. Check the specific conditions, the amount of the contributions and the limits with the relevant labour office, because they change over time and vary by target group. In projects financed from EU funds, these contributions are often combined with training activities.
