A specific objective is the lowest programme level at which money is allocated and results are measured within the programme. The Slovakia Programme is divided into priorities, priorities into specific objectives, and only below the specific objective do individual calls and projects belong. Each specific objective has its own allocation, its own set of measurable indicators and its own intervention logic – that is, a justification of what problem it addresses and what change this will produce. For the applicant, this is a practical filter: if the intent does not fit into any specific objective, it cannot be funded, however meaningful it might otherwise be. The code of the specific objective can therefore be found right at the start of every call, and it determines which activities are eligible, which indicators you must meet, and which region category applies to the project.
