A call for digital transformation is a type of support aimed at introducing digital solutions into an enterprise's processes – from record-keeping and production planning, through the automation of administration and the interconnection of systems, to the deployment of artificial intelligence tools. Eligible expenses tend to be software, licences, implementation, integration with existing systems, the necessary hardware, and staff training. Calls are generally limited to small and medium-sized enterprises and require the baseline state to be demonstrated, often in the form of a digital maturity assessment before and after the project. A common weakness of applications is a generic description of the solution without a link to a specific process – the evaluator needs to see which activity is changing, how much time or cost will be saved, and how this will be measured.
