Disclosure of paid partnerships means the obligation to clearly state that a post, video, or article arose from a commercial relationship. The obligation applies not only to direct payment but also to barter, the free provision of a product, commission on sales, or affiliate arrangements. The disclosure must be visible right at the start and in language the audience understands, not hidden among hashtags at the end or in the profile. A missing disclosure is treated as a misleading commercial practice, and responsibility is borne by the advertiser as well, not only by the content creator. For companies, a simple measure follows from this: anchor the disclosure obligation directly in the contract with the creator, add specific wording for it, and check before paying the fee that it was complied with.
