Local landing pages

Local landing pages are subpages dedicated to a specific service in a specific town or region. For services where demand is tied to location, such as trades, service centres, medical practices or transport, they are the most effective local search tool. The risk is high, however: if they are created in bulk as copies of a single text with the town name swapped, the result is thin content with no value, which search engines ignore or penalise. A usable local page contains something that applies only to that location: actual availability and travel time, specific work carried out nearby, local prices and specifics, the branch's contact details and opening hours, and possibly reviews from customers in the region. Five honest pages for towns where you genuinely operate are better than a hundred generated ones.
