On-page SEO is a set of optimization measures implemented directly on the page itself—the structure of headings, meta data, the quality and relevance of the content itself, as well as internal linking—all of which influence how well the page matches a given search query. It is the direct opposite of off-page SEO, which, by contrast, takes place outside the boundaries of the optimized page itself.
