AI for finding grants helps mainly with the volume of text that needs to be gone through. It is useful for monitoring and sorting new calls according to the company's focus, for summarising extensive call documentation into clear points, for comparing the conditions of several schemes, and for an initial assessment of whether the company meets the basic eligibility criteria. It thus saves hours of reading. Where caution is needed is accuracy: call conditions change, documents have annexes and references to methodologies, and the model can convincingly state a provision that does not exist. Every figure a decision rests on – limits, deadlines, eligible expenditure – should therefore be verified directly in the call documentation. Use AI to narrow down the selection, not as a binding interpretation of the conditions.
