The reserve list of projects is a list of applications that met the conditions and reached a sufficient number of points, but for which no allocation was available at the time of the decision. If funds are released – for example through the withdrawal of an approved recipient, savings from public procurement, or an increase in the allocation – the provider may approve projects from the reserve list subsequently, in order of points scored. For the applicant, this means that the decision need not be final, but at the same time uncertainty arises: the wait may last months, and in the meantime the project must not start being implemented if the expenditure is to be eligible. It is recommended to maintain the validity of permits, price quotations and consents during this period, so that the project is ready once approved. It is also worthwhile to check the project's position in the order with the provider on an ongoing basis.
