Recovery and Resilience Plan

The Recovery and Resilience Plan is Slovakia's national plan of reforms and investments financed from the EU's Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), which was created as the EU's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Slovakia has approximately EUR 6.4 billion available from the Recovery and Resilience Plan in the form of grants, which it must invest by 2026. The plan is divided into components covering the green economy, building renovation, sustainable transport, digitalisation, education, science and research, healthcare, and efficient public administration. Unlike EU funds, drawdown is tied to the fulfilment of milestones and targets that Slovakia reports to the European Commission. Implementation is coordinated by the Government Office of the Slovak Republic through its Recovery Plan section, and calls for proposals are announced by the individual implementing bodies – ministries and agencies.
