Creative Europe is a European Union programme supporting the cultural and creative sector, including audiovisual. It is divided into a Culture strand, which funds international cooperation projects, networks, platforms and literary translations, a MEDIA strand focused on the development, distribution and promotion of films, series and games, and a cross-sectoral strand supporting news media and innovation. Applicants tend to be cultural organisations, publishers, production companies, festivals and schools, usually in a consortium of partners from several countries. Applications are submitted in English via the central European portal and are assessed in Brussels, not in Slovakia. Consultation and information on calls is provided by the programme's national office, which can also help with finding partners.
