Click and collect and parcel pickup points are delivery methods in which the customer collects the goods themselves. For an online store they are advantageous for three reasons: they are cheaper than delivery to an address, customers increasingly prefer them for their flexibility, and at the store's own shop they create an opportunity for further sales at the point of collection. For them to work, it must be clearly stated when the parcel will be ready, how long it will be held, and what the customer needs to bring. Notify customers the moment the parcel is ready, and send a reminder before the deadline expires, since uncollected parcels are an extra cost. At your own shop, align the opening hours with the details on the website and in maps. Favour collection through the delivery price, not by hiding the other options.
