An educational project funds the preparation and delivery of courses, training sessions, or educational programmes for a defined target group – employees, the unemployed, teachers, pupils, or seniors. The budget mainly consists of trainer fees, the creation of learning materials, venue rental and equipment, and possibly e-learning development. Measurable indicators tend to be built on the number of people supported and the number who successfully completed the training, which means an obligation to keep attendance registers, tests, and completion certificates. Some schemes require an accredited programme, while elsewhere in-house content is enough. Sustainability deserves particular attention: providers are increasingly asking how the educational content created will be used after the project ends. The answer is usually making the materials available online or adding the course to the organisation's regular offering once funding ends.
