Open-source AI models

Open-source AI models are language or other artificial intelligence models whose parameters (weights)—and in some cases, their training code—are freely available for download, modification, and local deployment without the need to pay for access to a proprietary API. They give companies and developers greater control over data, costs, and the ability to tailor the model to specific needs, unlike closed commercial solutions such as GPT or Claude.
