A customer reference video is a short format in which the client describes, in their own words, what problem they were solving, why they chose the company in question, and what changed. It works better than a corporate presentation, because it brings an outside voice and a concrete situation the viewer can identify with. In preparation, it helps to send the questions in advance but not to insist on rehearsed answers – natural expression is more convincing than a polished formulation. The most valuable elements are concrete data: time saved, figures, deadlines. Legally, you need written consent for the use of the recording, including the scope of channels and duration, and, for business customers, also consent to use their brand. It is worth filming the video at the customer's premises, since the setting lends it credibility.
