First-party data is data that a company collects itself, directly from its own customers and visitors—for example, through its own website, mobile app, or email campaigns—as opposed to data purchased from external third parties. As support for third-party cookies is gradually phased out, first-party data is becoming increasingly valuable to companies from both a strategic and business perspective.
