Slov-Lex is a legal and information portal that provides access to the Collection of Laws and consolidated versions of legal regulations. For companies it has two main uses. The first is verifying the actual wording of a regulation as of a given date – the portal allows you to view how a provision read in the past as well as how it will read once an adopted amendment takes effect, which is essential when assessing older actions. The second is tracking legislation in preparation during the inter-ministerial comment procedure, where you can find out what changes are coming, months before their adoption, and in some cases even submit a comment. This part in particular remains unused by businesses, even though it's the cheapest way to prepare for upcoming obligations.
