Content library

A content library is an organised archive of company materials – photographs, videos, graphics, texts, references and templates – accessible to the people who need them. Without it, materials get lost in employees' phones and email attachments, get repeatedly reordered, and disappear completely when a person leaves. A useful library has clear file naming, sorting by topic and date, and, for each item, a note on where it was used and what the rights to use it are, including the consent of people in photographs and the validity of licences. It is precisely this record-keeping that tends to be decisive when older material is later used in advertising. A library also considerably eases content recycling and the onboarding of new colleagues.
