Erasmus+ Accreditation is the granting of a status that simplifies an organisation's access to mobility funding. Instead of submitting a competitive project application in every round, an accredited school or organisation submits a multi-year development plan and then applies for a mobility budget through a simplified procedure. The advantage is predictability and the ability to plan the training of staff and pupils over the long term. The condition is demonstrating that the organisation has a clear intention of what it wants to achieve through mobilities, and the capacity to deliver them to a good standard, including recognition of the outcomes. Accreditation is granted for a period, and its holder is subject to quality control. For schools that want to carry out mobilities regularly, it is more advantageous than repeated competitive projects. The accreditation application is submitted at a fixed deadline once a year, so its preparation should be planned well in advance of the planned stays.
