Verifying AI outputs

Verifying AI outputs is both a skill and a company rule. Language models produce text that sounds convincing regardless of whether it is correct, and they can cite a source that does not exist, a wrong deadline, or an invalid provision of a regulation. The employee therefore remains responsible for content they send or publish, even when a tool prepared it. There are three practical rules: verify all figures, dates, names, and references against the primary source, use the model on your own documents in preference to free generation, and involve a person who understands the subject for expert content. In the company handbook, it is worth defining which outputs can go out without review and which cannot, so that this does not depend on each individual's own judgement.
