A school project is a project carried out by a kindergarten, primary school, secondary school or higher education institution, or by a school facility. The fundamental question at the outset is who is the eligible applicant. For investment projects such as reconstructions, classrooms and equipment, the applicant is usually the founding body, that is, the municipality, town or region, whereas for soft projects focused on education, inclusion, tutoring or clubs, the school itself may apply directly. This determines who provides co-financing, who signs the contract, and who bears the obligations during the sustainability period. Another typical constraint is staff capacity – project administration is usually handled by a teacher alongside their regular workload, which needs to be taken into account when choosing the scope. Clarify this with the founding body before preparing the application. Also involve in the preparation the teachers who will carry out the activities, otherwise you end up with a project that can't actually be delivered in practice.
