A product feed is a structured file of product data that an e-shop hands over to advertising systems, comparison sites and marketplace platforms. Its quality determines performance more than campaign settings do, because the system uses it to decide for which queries the product will be shown. The key elements are a name containing the brand, type and variant, precise categorisation, price including tax, availability, images without watermarks and unambiguous identifiers. An insufficient or outdated feed causes items to be rejected, shown against the wrong queries, and a loss of trust when the price does not match the website. Update the feed automatically and often enough that prices and stock levels stay correct. The same file is becoming increasingly important for assistants that compare products too, so the completeness of attributes has a direct impact on visibility.
