Agentic Shopping

Agentic Shopping is a scenario in which the user states an intent – find, compare and order – and a software agent carries out the rest. It browses offers, reads specifications, compares prices including delivery and availability, and completes the order. For an e-shop, this represents a fundamental shift in what determines a sale. An agent is not swayed by a banner or emotion in the text; it needs unambiguous, machine-readable data: the exact product name and variant, price including tax, availability, delivery time, shipping cost, return conditions and unambiguous identifiers. Websites that hide this data behind interactive elements will not enter the comparison. In practice, it is worth keeping structured product data in order, maintaining a consistent product feed, and not relying on the customer clicking through to find key information.
